Stoke City skipper Ryan Shawcross says the Potters appeared to be 'switched off' in their 2-1 Premier League home defeat by Burnley.
Having won 2-1 at Spurs in their previous game, it was the second time this season that Stoke have followed an away victory by losing to lowly opposition following a two-week international break - as was the case when they won 1-0 at Manchester City in late August, then lost 1-0 at home to Leicester.
"We're very disappointed. After our brilliant performance at Spurs, we've thrown it away," defender Shawcross tells BBC Radio Stoke.
"For some reason we seemed to be switched off and not on our game and we gave them a head start. We've now lost three times to teams in the bottom half of that table and that's something we need to address."
