Steve Bruce: Hull manager rules himself out of Newcastle role

Hull boss Steve Bruce says he and his side do not need the "distraction" of him being linked to the manager's job at Newcastle, which looks like it will soon be available.

Alan Pardew is expected leave St James' Park to take over at Crystal Palace and has been given permission to talk to the club.

But Bruce, a boyhood Magpies fan, says he is focused on getting 17th-placed Hull out of the position they are in and rules himself out of the running to replace Pardew.
