Alan Pardew: Crystal Palace manager defends Newcastle record

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says he did not leave Newcastle because of the fans and adds that he felt the time was right for him and the club.

Pardew was appointed manager of Palace, a club he previously played for, on Saturday 3rd January having been in charge at St James' Park for four years.

The former West Ham manager also defends his record at the Magpies and says that he left the club in a good state.
