DJ Campbell: Fixing claims 'will always hang over me'
Footballer DJ Campbell says his name has been "tarnished" and that spot-fixing allegations will always hang over him.
In his first interview since the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped the case because of "insufficient evidence", Campbell says he has endured a "nightmare" 15 months in which his family were verbally abused and he almost retired from the game.
Asked what had stopped him from retiring, the 33-year-old told BBC Sport's Ben Smith: "This is what I have been doing for years, this is what gave me the life I live, this is what has made my family happy, this is what made me happy. To throw it all away was tough to think of."
