Wolves: Richard Stearman proud to play guiding role for youngsters
Wolves centre-back Richard Stearman tells BBC WM he is "thriving" in a responsible position of seniority in Kenny Jackett's promotion-chasing team.
"I've played more than most," said 27-year-old Stearman. "It's a position I thrive on, lending experience to the younger players and being a guide on and off the pitch."
After a worrying run of five straight defeats, Wolves are now unbeaten in seven league games, during which they have conceded just two goals.
"Our stats stand up against anyone and hopefully we've stopped that run now," added Stearman, who is Wolves' second longest-serving outfield player and has made more than 200 appearances since joining in 2008.
"We're delighted with how things are going. We've got back to where we were last season. We're pretty together."
