Swansea 1-1 Sunderland: Monk 'disappointed' with Swansea

Swansea City boss Garry Monk is "disappointed" by his team's inability to beat Sunderland despite dominating the match, but is pleased with the character shown by his players to come from behind and earn a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

The Black Cats took the lead through Jermain Defoe in the first half, before ex-Sunderland midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng levelled the match midway through the second half, and the South Korean had a second effort ruled out for offside.

The result means Swansea remain in ninth place in the Premier League table, while Sunderland stay in 14th.
