Gary Rowett: Birmingham boss disappointed at defeat by Millwall

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett admits his much-improved team had an off night in Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat by struggling Millwall.

"Whenever we wanted a decent ball in, that little bit of quality was lacking," he told BBC WM 95.6. "We weren't quite ruthless enough. But we've only lost three times in 16 matches. We can't be too disheartened. That's a pretty good record."

After previously picking up four draws in a winless run of five matches, Rowett's Blues, in 11th, are now closer to the Championship relegation zone - eight points - than they are to the play-off places - 14 points.
