Away goals rule is outdated - Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes the away goals rule should be changed after his side were eliminated from the Champions League after drawing 3-3 on aggregate with Monaco.

Wenger says the law, which was brought in in the 1960s, is outdated and away goals should only count after extra time rather than full-time.

Despite there being no British club in the last eight in the Champions League this season, Wenger is not worried as it has rarely happened in the past two decades.
