Harry Kane deserves England chance - Roy Hodgson

England manager Roy Hodgson says it would have been more of a surprise if Harry Kane hadn't been named in his squad to face Lithuania and Italy.

The 21-year-old Tottenham striker is part of a 24-man England squad named by Hodgson to play a Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley on 27 March and a friendly in Turin against Italy on 31 March.

Hodgson is delighted to welcome Kane, who has scored 26 goals in 42 games this season, into the fold and hopes the youngster can establish himself in the squad.
