Stoke 2-1 Southampton: Strong finish to season key for Hughes

Stoke boss Mark Hughes says a good finish to the season will make it easier for the club to attract new players, after the Potters beat Southampton 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium.

Morgan Schneiderlin gave the visitors the lead, but Stoke levelled early in the second half through Mame Biram Diouf, before substitute Charlie Adam volleyed in the winner from close range late on.

Stoke have kept only four clean sheets in their last 18 Premier League home games.
