Steph Houghton: England captain confident of being fit for World Cup

England captain Steph Houghton is "progressing really well" from her knee injury and is "100%" confident of regaining full fitness before this summer's World Cup in Canada.

The Manchester City defender sustained the injury at the Cyprus Cup in March and has faced a tight race to recover in time for the tournament which starts on 6 June.

"I'm joining back in training in the next few weeks but it's important that we just take it day by day," the 26-year-old said.
