England U21s: Harry Kane has great stage to show ability - Southgate

Gareth Southgate says Harry Kane's England call-up for the 2015 European Under-21 Championship is a chance for the Spurs striker to prove himself at "a top tournament" and "important for the group".

West Brom striker Saido Berahino and Burnley forward Danny Ings are also named in the squad, but Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw is left out, while Raheem Sterling's international focus will be with Roy Hodgson's senior team.

England Under-21 manager Southgate says the squad are going to the competition in the Czech Republic "with genuine belief" that they can have a successful tournament.
