IFA chief executive Patrick Nelson welcomes Blatter resignation

Irish Football Association chief executive Patrick Nelson believes Sepp Blatter's decision to step down as president of Fifa is "very good for football".

Blatter resigned in a surprise news conference on Tuesday, four days after he was controversially re-elected as president.

US prosecutors launched a criminal inquiry last week, with seven Fifa officials arrested in Switzerland, part of a group of 14 people indicted.
