Petr Cech: Arsene Wenger key in decision to join Arsenal

Petr Cech says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was key in persuading him to leave Premier League champions Chelsea for the Gunners.

The Czech Republic goalkeeper, who played more than 400 club games in 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge, has signed a four-year contract at the Emirates and says his new club match his "motivation".

Cech, 33, made only seven league appearances last season after losing his place to Belgian Thibaut Courtois, and says he wanted to stay in England because he loves the "challenges" of the Premier League.
