Europa League qualifier: Feeney's mixed feelings as Blues progress

Linfield manager Warren Feeney laments his team's defending in the Faroe Islands despite their progression to the Europa League Second Qualifying round.

The Blues set up a tie against Spartak Trnava of Slovakia as they progressed 5-4 on aggregate against NSI Runavik despite a 4-3 second-leg defeat.

Reece Glendinning, Guy Bates and Andrew Waterworth scored Linfield's goals.

"I'm pleased to get through but very disappointed with the way we conceded the goals. We'll always score goals but defenders have got to love defending and we didn't do that tonight," said the Linfield manager.

Warren Feeney's side are away in the first leg next Thursday with the return match in Belfast a week later.
