Rodgers relishes return to Stoke

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes his side have been handed the "perfect" start to the new season with an away trip to Stoke.

The Reds suffered a humiliating defeat in the corresponding fixture on the last day of last season, losing 6-1 in Steven Gerrard's final game for the club.

Rodgers says that performance was "unacceptable" and vows that the Potters will find playing them much harder this time around.
