Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett says there is more pressure on Aston Villa than Blues going into Tuesday's Second City derby in the Capital One Cup.
"We're in a really good place," Rowett told BBC WM 95.6 ahead of the third round tie at Villa Park. "We're flying high in the league, we've only lost one game this season. We've got everything to look forward to. There's no pressure on us.
"Where Villa are in the league, where they are with their season, there's more pressure on them to win, so we can go there a little bit freer."
In the first derby meeting between the two city rivals in the five seasons since Blues were relegated in 2011, Rowett's men go to Villa Park standing seventh in the Championship table, to face a Villa side 17th in the Premiership.
Blues played Villa three times in that final season in the top flight, 2010-11, drawing both league games but also in between beating Villa 2-1 at the same third round stage at St Andrew's, thanks to a late winner from striker Nikola Zigic.
