Port Vale manager Rob Page tells BBC Radio Stoke his first year in charge in Burslem has been a "rollercoaster ride".
The former Wales defender took over following the departure of Micky Adams in September 2014, initially as caretaker boss.
Since then, Vale have been to the fringe of the League One play-off places, got lured into a relegation scrap and have now lost three times in four league game on the back of an unbeaten start.
"From taking over and having that initial impact, we went on a nice run, but then we discovered the ups and down of football," Page said.
"It was never going to be a finished product straightaway. All I asked was to put my own stamp on things in the summer with new personnel and I've done that."
Rob Page was talking to BBC Radio Stoke's Lee Blakeman.
