Uefa 1976: When Yugoslavia stopped Wales in its tracks

Saturday evening could be the night football fans in Wales start packing their baguettes and berets ready for the trip to Euro 2016 in France.

On 10 October, Wales' football team take on Bosnia-Herzegovina in search of the point which will see them qualify for Euro 2016 and end their 57-year absence from major tournaments - with another chance to gain that single point against Andorra the following Tuesday.

But as many a Welsh fan knows, the side have not reached the finals stage of a major tournament since the 1958 World Cup, with this near miss against Yugoslavia in 1976.
