Everton 0-3 Manchester United: First goal affected us - Roberto Martinez

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says his side never really recovered from going a goal down after 18 minutes of their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at Goodison Park.

The Toffees were punished by goals from Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera and old boy Wayne Rooney - on the day that former player and manager Howard Kendall died at the age of 69.

Everton conceded two first-half goals in a Premier League home game for the first time since August 2014 (3-6 v Chelsea).
