Crystal Palace 1-3 West Ham: Red card spoilt match - Pardew

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew believes the referee "spoilt the occasion" after dismissing his striker Dwight Gayle in their 3-1 defeat to West Ham at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles were reduced to 10 men after Gayle received a second caution just before the break with the score level at 1-1, and the Hammers grabbed victory with two late goals from Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet.

Yohan Cabaye's first-half spot kick for Palace made him only the fourth player in Premier League history to score a penalty in four successive appearances.
