Michael Appleton: Oxford United have reached early-season target

Oxford United manager Michael Appleton says his squad have reached the points target they set themselves for the first third of the season.

United beat League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday courtesy of a first-half finish from midfielder Liam Sercombe.

Appleton's third-placed side have 27 points from 14 games in League Two and sit two points behind leaders Plymouth.
