Tim Sherwood: Highs and lows of Aston Villa reign

BBC Sport takes a look back at the ups and downs of Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa tenure, following his dismissal on Sunday.

Sherwood took over from Paul Lambert in February, with Villa in the bottom three, and went on to steer them to safety with five wins from 13 games and led them to the FA Cup final.

But the 46-year-old had overseen eight defeats in the first 10 Premier League matches this season, with the last one coming on Saturday against Swansea.
