Leicester City 2-1 Watford: Jamie Vardy is 'fantastic' - Claudio Ranieri

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri describes Jamie Vardy as "fantastic" after he scored for a ninth successive Premier League game in the Foxes's 2-1 victory over Watford.

Vardy converted a penalty after N'Golo Kante opened the scoring for the home side. A Troy Deeney penalty gave Watford hope but Leicester closed it out to go level on points at the top of the Premier League table.

Vardy is the only player to score in nine consecutive games in the same Premier League season, as former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of 10 goals in successive games was achieved between March and August 2003 for the Dutchman.
