Chris Anderson: Coventry City a 'challenge', says new Sky Blues MD

New Coventry City executive vice-chairman and managing director Chris Anderson says that running the League One club will be a 'challenge'.

"You hear stories. You read papers and you read the back history but a lot of it does not seem to ring true. It is a challenge, but it is a challenging in a different way," Anderson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

"I wasn't brought here to do the football. We already have a great team. One of the best managers in the league, in Tony Mowbray, and bringing in Mark Venus as technical director was a good decision too. Right now, we're in a very healthy state. My job is to support these guys and keep us on a sustainable financial footing.

"It's a wonderful football club with huge potential in a great city. What's not to like about Coventry City Football Club?"
