African Footballer of the Year nominee Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in sensational goalscoring form this year, finishing as Borussia Dortmund's top scorer last season before creating German records in 2015-16.

In October, the Gabonese, 26, became the first man to score in the first eight matches of a Bundesliga season.

His first 17 competitive games this campaign resulted in a stunning 20 goals - a run that included back-to-back hat-tricks.

Voting for the award opened at 1055GMT on Saturday 14 November and closed at 1800GMT on Monday 30 November.

The winner will be revealed in a special show on BBC World News at 1530GMT on Friday 11 December.
