Aston Villa manager Remi Garde feels his side took a "step backwards" during their 4-0 defeat by Everton.

Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku each scored twice as the Toffees thrashed a dreadful Villa side who remain stuck at the bottom of the Premier League.

Garde's side have now gone 12 Premier League games without a victory - the longest winless streak in the division.
