Man City 1-4 Liverpool: Pellegrini says no excuses for City defeat

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini feels his whole team were "not good enough" during their 4-1 defeat by Liverpool.

Liverpool raced in to the lead through an Eliaquim Mangala own goal and cool finishes from Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino. Sergio Aguero's strike gave City faint hope on half-time, but Martin Skrtel confirmed victory with a fourth.

The last time the Citizens conceded four goals at home in the league was in 2003.
