Clayton Donaldson: Jamaica not to blame for striker's injury - Schafer

The head coach of Jamaica, Winfried Schafer, tells BBC Sport he is sorry Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson has returned to the club injured - but insists the Reggae Boyz are not to blame.

Blues' top scorer will be out for at least six weeks with a groin injury picked up on international duty in Haiti.

After Birmingham boss Gary Rowett questioned why Donaldson was allowed to play 90 minutes despite having several bouts of treatment for injury, Schafer insists Donaldson was fit enough to carry on.
