Crewe Alexandra: Ryan Lowe keen to share his experience
Crewe Alexandra's on-loan striker Ryan Lowe tells BBC Radio Stoke that he is keen to share his vast experience with the club's younger players.
After re-signing from Bury the day before, Lowe came on as substitute at Colchester to help turn the game in his first appearance for the Alex in over seven years, making one goal and scoring one, a stunning injury-time lob, in a 3-2 comeback win.
"It's hard going into any new team," admitted the 37-year-old Liverpudlian. "It's even harder trying to come into a team with young kids but they have some excellent young players and it was a question of giving them belief. I'm here to help them. The quality's there and to come from two down shows the commitment.
"I've always had a good bond with the fans everywhere I've gone. And the goal was a present for the Crewe fans. They were singing my name from the moment I came on. It's a long journey here and a long journey home - and that was for them."
