Irish Cup: Linfield edge Ballymena in extra-time

Substitute Guy Bates heads an extra-time winner for Linfield as they beat Ballymena United 2-1 in the fifth round of the Irish Cup.

Andrew Waterworth put the hosts in front but a Gary Thompson header sent the game into extra-time.

Linfield forward Paul Smyth was sent-off before Bates headed in, and United defender Johnny Taylor was also dismissed before the final whistle.
