Romania's football slavery: Ex-Arsenal youth player Rhema Obed on not being paid
Former Arsenal youth player Rhema Obed says he relied on a team-mate's mother for food when his Romanian club stopped paying wages.
Obed, 24, was one of about 300 footballers forced to stay at their Romanian clubs even when they were not being paid, in a situation that has been described as "football slavery".
A change in the law on Friday means those footballers can now start legal action to get out of their contracts.
