Aaron Hughes proud as he wins 100th Northern Ireland cap in Slovakia draw
Aaron Hughes speaks of his pride and relief he wins his 100th Northern Ireland cap in Saturday's Euro 2016 warm-up draw against Slovakia in Trnava.
The 36-year-old was introduced for Craig Cathcart in the 30th minute after the Watford defender picked up a knock to his back.
Cathcart's injury is not serious but Hughes proved a more than able replacement as he helped Northern Ireland produce another clean sheet.
"I'm very proud but there's probably a lot of relief in there too. There were times when I doubted whether I was going to make it to 100 caps," Hughes told BBC Sport Northern Ireland.
