Saints closing on Welsh Premier record

New Saints will set a new Welsh Premier League record of 16 consecutive wins if they beat Airbus UK Broughton on Friday.

Saints equalled Bangor City's 2010-11 mark of 15 victories with a 4-2 triumph at Carmarthen Town last Friday.

The champions are 15 points clear at the top of the division and on course to win their 11th title.

"At the start of the season it wasn't something we were looking to do but we're at the stage now we need to win one more game and we've broken the record," Saints manager Craig Harrison said.
