Dungannon snatch late win over Mallards

Dungannon Swifts move above Glenavon into sixth place in the Premiership on goal difference thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ballinamallard United at Stangmore Park.

Ballinamallard opened the scoring in the first half through Jason McCartney, before Andrew Mitchell equalised from the penalty spot for Dungannon midway through the second half.

Paul McElory then headed the Swifts in front with 15 minutes to go, before James McKenna equalised for the visitors.

Andrew Mitchell then grabbed a late winner for the Swifts, before the Fermanagh side were reduced to 10 men, Liam McMenamin seeing red in injury time.
