O'Neill 'unfortunate' with the quality of Republic players he had - Rodgers

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers says Martin O'Neill's time in charge of the Republic of Ireland had been hampered by the lack of players available to him.

Rodgers has ruled himself out of contention to replace O'Neill but says he has got ambitions to manage at international level in the future.

"Martin probably hasn't had the players there that maybe the Republic have had over a number of years," said Rodgers.
