Whitmarsh frustrated after tactical blunder in qualifying

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh is "frustrated" after a tactical blunder left Lewis Hamilton unable to complete a second hot lap in the final part of qualifying.

Hamilton had been the fastest man in Q2, but was passed by both Mark Webber and Michael Schumacher at the final chicane before starting his second run in Q3 and failed to cross the line in time to set a lap.

His team-mate Jenson Button then missed out on pole position by just nine thousandths of a second to Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel.
