Sebastian Vettel is unable to explain Red Bull's order for him to stop his car out on track following qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Vettel tells BBC Sport's Lee McKenzie he "does not think that is the problem", but after a lengthy investigation the defending world champion is disqualified and he will start Sunday's race from the back of the field.
The car was found to have insufficient fuel with which to return to the pits and provide a sample to the stewards.
Vettel leads the drivers' standing by 13 points with his main title rival Fernando Alonso now promoted to start from sixth, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton starts from pole position.
