US Grand Prix: Vettel seeking 'optimum race' in Texas
Sebastian Vettel says he is focusing on his own race and not worrying about title rival Fernando Alonso after taking pole position for the US Grand Prix.
The world championship leader and team-mate Mark Webber also say they are relieved to be on the 'clean side' of the grid, with cars starting from even-numbered grid slots thought to be at a disadvantage due to the lack of rubber that has been laid down on the brand new circuit surface in Austin, Texas.
Vettel can claim his third successive world championship on Sunday in his 100th Grand Prix if he scores fifteen more points than Ferrari's Alonso, who will start Sunday's race from eighth on the grid.
