'Satisfied' Fernando Alonso proud of Ferrari's efforts

Fernando Alonso is "satisfied" after taking second place in the 2012 Formula 1 world championship following the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Ferrari driver says he is "proud" of both his own and the team's efforts and believes they have missed "a little bit of performance" over the course of the season, putting their under-performing car down to "a lack of ideas".

Alonso missed out on becoming Formula 1's youngest-ever triple world champion to Sebastian Vettel by just three points.
