'Chilled-out' China lap pleases Button

Jenson Button says he is pleased with McLaren's decision not to set a fast lap on 'soft' tyres, as he set a "chilled-out" lap to qualify in eighth for Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix.

The 2009 world champion made it into Q3, but decided to use 'medium' tyres and not set a quick time in an attempt to gain an advantage in the race.

But Button believes McLaren are still "a long way from the front" as he hopes to improve on his ninth-place in Australia.
