Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying: Hamilton 'surprised' by pole

Lewis Hamilton says he was "really surprised" to claim pole position after narrowly beating Sebastian Vettel to the top time in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver talks through his pole lap with BBC F1's Suzi Perry and David Coulthard, saying the effort "wasn't that great" and describes his disbelief when the team told him over the radio that he had claimed a 30th career pole position.

The Hungaroring is renowned as a tough track to overtake on, but in the 27 previous world championship Grands Prix held there, the pole sitter has been victorious on only 11 occasions.
