Bahrain GP: What has put the sparks back into F1?

Sparks flying off the back of the cars were a permanent part of Formula 1 in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the halcyon days of Alain Prost, Gerhard Berger, Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna.

The sparks were back in the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday and fans were lapping up the pyrotechnics, even McLaren driver Jenson Button was impressed, tweeting "Loving the sparks from the cars."
