Sauber failed to score a single point in the 2014 season and, despite a promising winter testing programme, contract issues with Giedo van der Garde threatened to undermine their first race in Australia.
But after reaching a settlement with Van der Garde, Felipe Nasr went on to finish fifth in Australia in his first race in F1, a result the Brazilian rookie describes as "emotional".
