Canadian GP: Hamilton happy with Mercedes despite Monaco error

World champion Lewis Hamilton says he still has faith in his Mercedes team despite missing out on victory at the Monaco Grand Prix because of an error in strategy.

The Briton was pitted from the lead in Monaco during a safety car period, but a miscalculation on track position meant he rejoined behind team-mate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.

Meanwhile, Torro Rosso's Max Verstappen says he "will not change" despite crashing heavily during the Monaco GP, while Jenson Button says McLaren aren't in F1 just to score points, but to challenge for World Championships.

Looking ahead to this weekend's Canadian GP, Force India's Sergio Perez, Red Bull's Danill Kvyatt, Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Williams' Felipe Massa are all confident on improving in Montreal, a track at which they say anything can happen.
