Jules Bianchi: Late F1 driver's family sue over 'avoidable' death

The parents of late F1 driver Jules Bianchi are planning to sue the FIA, Bianchi's Marussia team and Bernie Ecclestone's Formula One Group for what their lawyer has called an "avoidable" death.

The Frenchman, 25, suffered fatal head injuries when his car collided with a mobile crane at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka in October 2014.

His parents say errors were made in the "planning, timing, organisation and conduct of the race", which they argue "took place in dangerous conditions during the typhoon season in Japan".
