Weekend double booking angers in-demand Chrissy McKaigue
Chrissy McKaigue says the GAA has no concern over player welfare after he has to play in an Ulster Club Hurling final less than 24 hours after his involvement in the International Rules Second Test.
McKaigue said he was disappointed with the Ulster Council's decision to fix the game for Sunday on the same weekend as the Rules Test.
"I just don't understand the rationale behind the thinking for fixtures," said McKaigue after he starred in Slaughtneil's brave display as they lost 3-14 to 1-15 against Ulster holders Loughgiel.
McKaigue also insisted that the International Rules series should continue despite Ireland's record hammering of Australia on Saturday.
