Rory Gallagher content as Donegal come good to beat Derry

Donegal manager Rory Gallagher is happy with his team's second-half display in the 1-15 to 0-12 win over Derry after a "very disappointing" opening 35 minutes.

Gallagher felt Donegal's work-rate "wasn't there" in the opening period but that Martin McElhinney's half-time introduction help turn the match in his team's favour.

"Martin McElhinney and Neil Gallagher got a stranglehold in midfield in the second half and (Michael) Murphy moved inside and everything fell into place."
