McIlroy positive despite poor start

World number one Rory McIlroy says there were a "few good signs" in his opening 75 at the Abu Dhabi Championship.

The Northern Irish player believes a return to competitive action after an eight-week break contributed to his three-over round along with using new Nike clubs.

McIlroy lies eight shots behind leaders Jamie Donaldson and Justin Rose.
