Fowler aims to play in 2015 Irish Open

American Rickie Fowler wants to play in next year's Irish Open at Royal County Down, which he describes as his "favourite course in the world".

The world number 10, who is in the United States team at this week's Ryder Cup, competed on the Northern Ireland links in the 2007 Walker Cup.

Fowler said he had talked about playing in the event with Rory McIlroy, whose charitable foundation will be the official hosts of the tournament.
